Peacemaking Circle and Genealogy Workshops (combined)

March 25 – April 8

Professor Tony Burroughs, internationally known genealogist and author of Black Roots; A beginners Guide to Tracing the African American Family Tree, will guide students and parents through the process of researching their own family’s experiences, enabling them to make greater and more diverse contributions to the design of the mural.


Peacemaking Circles

April 15 – May 6

Cheryl Graves, Community Justice for Youth Institute, will facilitate peacemaking circles for students, parents, alumni and community volunteers/supporters. Peacemaking circles are used in educational settings to provide mentoring, address discipline issues, promote safety and foster a sense of community among participants.

Mosaic Community Participation Weekend Event

Along with Carolyn Elaine(Jacobs), Professional Artist and Fenger alumnus, students will lead parents, teachers and volunteers in the process of mosaic tile application and grouting. Join the Fenger Academy High School Community as they complete this historic project.
